I have been receiving some lovely things in the post these last few days, including some soap in a swap with Amisha from her Bijou shop - thank you Amisha!
I love this premise of sending lovely things through the post and writing to people, instead of always emailing. That was one of the ideas behind the recycled cards, and came from the artist date card exchange with Barbara.
Barbara also sent me this envelope the other day from one of her 'dates'.
which has got me so inspired, I just keep picking it up and looking at it. It's absolutely brilliant and a perfect bit of recycling. The site doesn't really do the products justice, but I almost imploded with excitement when I saw their carrier bags made from maps. They also do shoppers made from old billboard posters..
Here is one of my own map pictures based on the patchwork pattern "tumbling blocks". I feel quite inspired to get my maps out again!
Very clever ideas that look great.

I love OS maps, they make me want to don the ol' wellies, borrow a dog and go exploring! Think I'd probably get lost using your rather good tumbling blocks picture, tho'; that or very dizzy. The recycling site is quite good, if a little challenging - all those great words like 'Skizzenbucher' and 'Zettelboxzettel'!
