Again, I'm not sure who this is by, perhaps Sally Holman - really should have taken notes as I went.. But one of the most eyecatching quilts on display.
I love the simplicity of it - both pattern and colourwise - and somehow it just works without all the fabric needing to 'match'. It's a huge quilt. If you stare at it long enough, the 3-d boxes start to come out at you!
my analytical mind is looking for some kind of plan or pattern repeat but it does seem to be pretty random... it's the black diamonds which fix it all together... wow i am now seeing the boxes!
happy day to you. the sun is out here!!

How fabulous! I once attempted a tiny version of this for a doll . Fun to do but very fiddly so I can't imagine how long this must have taken !

This is cool! I love how the colors themselves make neat looking shapes...My mind also looked for some sort of repeating pattern, but like your other reader said, not too much came up :)

I love all your patchwork pictures Caireen, they are like magic eye pictures - the more you stare at them the more there is a possibility of them morphing into something else. I guess thats what patchwork is - taking one thing and making another. Lxx
