That very beautiful combination of sun shining through rain. It has not stopped raining on and off here for days - however we did have a window of an hour or so last night and went for a late walk in the bluebell woods round the base of Duncryne. The colour en masse is really beautiful - this is a great time to get out and see the bluebells near you if you can.
Thanks for all the recent comments and well-wishes - sorry I haven't got round to emailing everyone. I'm still not feeling 100%, I can't put my finger on it, but I feel worn out and achey - not like a virus that has come to anything, but just generally run down. I think it is the weather and my chi, as I have bouts of this through the year, maybe once or twice. Last time I recall exactly the same it was raining constantly like this for 2 weeks. I should really book some acupuncture, but I'm hoping it will pass.
I was tagged recently by Lynne. Usually I say no if I don't fancy doing these meme's - but quite like the questions on this one. So I will tag a couple of others, so don't feel obliged, but it would be interesting if you want to do it - or if you fancy having a go, copy and paste away and send me a link!
What are your current obsessions?
Job satisfaction and a
work/life balance…. And the lack of good, inspired film/tv – the current trend
to avoid authorship in favour of “please everyone, middle of the road
blandness” – or easy drama through police/hospital plots… oh.. and looking at
Etsy and crafty things online.
What are you currently reading?
I really need to be
smitten by a book to keep it up – to be honest I’m not a big fiction novel
reader, but dip into non-fiction or extraordinary (auto)biography. I love Tahir Shah. My current reading
consists more of magazines like Selvedge, Country Living, Quiltmania(!),-they do a great article every month of quilters and their homes, and I love looking at that and thinking - how do they find the time/drive? - or
flicking through a quilting book…I like to read about creative living and the
creative process. I’m currently working
my way through “Creating A Life Worth Living” by Carol Lloyd …… recommended by creativevoyage. (click on her banner if the page isn't there) It’s the Artist’s Way at the next
level.
Where do you plan to travel to next?
I really need to commit to
some sort of travel plan – lots of ideas floating on the back burner. What I’d really love to do is go to the
Tokyo International Quilt fair – in fact I’d love to do an international quilt
fair once a year – Houston, France etc in rotation. Plus USA again, Santiago de Compostella, India. Have a few daytrips planned when my contract finishes.
What’s the best
thing you ate or drank lately?
I’m trying out a new thing
called ‘chocolate pie’ I was introduced to by friends. It’s a raw food of raw chocolate ground
with other herbal powders, almonds and goji berries – it’s very intense. Also Sierra Nevada beers – one of the
best beers, and wheat-free beer I have ever tasted
What is your dream
career?
Screenwriter/producer/filmmaker/artist….
I’m working on it!
What is your
favourite film ever?
‘Close Encounters of the
Third Kind’ – the mysterious draw to the Devils Tower is one that really
resonated with me, in an earth power site sort of way - a feeling of knowing a place before you get there.
Care to share some
wisdom?
There’s a lot more to life
than just this visible world, I’m sure of it! Be open to miracles, but avoid personality cults.
Where would you
rather be right now?
Wandering round the
galleries of Santa Fé, New Mexico – but to be honest, somewhere walm and balmy
where you could get up a put on a tshirt and shorts and sit outside.
If you could be any
animal other than human, what would you be?
Right now, a bird. To live freely in the moment, and be
able to go wherever you want, plus the gift of flight.
If you had super
powers what would they be?
To
communicate with animals, and for them not to run away. (draw back of being
human) and an ability to relocate at will.
My
question: Do you have a favourite time of day – if so what is it/what are you
doing?
My
favourite time of day is between 10 and 11am on a day off – sitting with a cup
of coffee and daydreaming, either catching up on other blogs, in the garden, or
in a café watching the world go by.
The
rules are to answer the questions, replacing one and adding another, and then
to tag eight other bloggers to do the same.
Drat, Lynne and I know the same people! so I
tag Melissa, Diana, Susan, Ginny, Debs, Sally Anne, Mary and Frances .
lovely blog to catch up on what you've been doing, and the sun is shining too, hurrah!
shall tackle the tag in a day or two!

Good morning Caireen.
Your answers are interesting ... I will have to imagine you as a bird ... with a cup of tea, perhaps!
Thank you for your tag; however, I have already done this one. My answers were rushed and not so well put as yours.

I enjoyed doing this meme too, although the questions were slightly different as I suppose will happen as it goes through several different channels at the same time. Lovely answers here. Thank you for your comment on my blog, which was very encouraging :-)
